Kip Guenzel
Owner / Mechanic
Texas native and Pro-Am Tour Driver Kip Guenzel has been working on cars since the early 70's. Before starting his shop in Temple, Texas, Kip amassed years of experience working on and building high-performance cars. Back in the glory days of muscle cars, Kip drove a '67 Camaro RS known as the Gray Ghost. People would come from Austin and farther to challenge the Ghost, all to go home with their tails tucked between their legs.
In the 80's and 90's, Kip took his driving from the street scene to the track which culminated in his winning his first championship at Little River in 2000 driving a 1969 Chevy Nova. Later, his red 1970 Camaro picked up Iron Man trophies in 2007 and 2008 as well as an IHRA division runner-up in 2007. In 2010, Kip finished as the runner-up in the Iron Man series and placed 10th at the world championships.
In addition to his racing exploits, Kip is a GM Master Technician and ASE certified.
